He may not be Boss Tweed–he’s not personally corrupt, presumably–but Obama’s administration is starting give off just the tiniest whiff of Tammany Hall, between the tax evaders, financial pecadilloists, and lobbyists he has favored with jobs. The latest addition to the list of questionable appointments is new White House Urban Czar Adolfo Carrion. It’s not necessarily a problem for Obama–none of those pesky confirmation hearings for White House staff to get in the way–but it appears Mr. Carrion was as much an advocate of greenbacks as of green buildings during his tenure as Bronx Borough President. The Daily News has done due diligence. Will the Washington Post follow suit?
