Joe Rogan is advising those harmed by COVID-19 policies, including shutdowns of their livelihoods and schools, to vote for Republicans going forward.
Rogan was joined in his latest podcast episode by Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and much of their discussion was about the pandemic and the policies that came out in response to it, as Rodgers faced controversy over his vaccination status.

In response to a prompt from Rodgers as to what the popular host would tell people who have been harmed by government shutdowns during the pandemic, Rogan quickly told the football star that they should vote for Republicans.

“I hope there are lessons learned in this, because this is a new thing,” the host said. “We had never had this before. No one who is alive today has ever experienced a true pandemic, and I’m hoping that, now that this is over, people are going to recognize that some serious errors were made and not repeat those.”

Rodgers also discussed the controversy he faced regarding his vaccination status. At one point, Rodgers had told the press he was “immunized,” leaving people confused as to whether he was vaccinated or not. He said this was purposeful.
“I’d been ready the entire time for this question and had thought about how I wanted to answer it,” he explained. “And I had come to the conclusion, I’m gonna say, ‘I’ve been immunized.’ And if there’s a follow-up, then talk about my process.”
Rodgers did inevitably contract the virus. “I knew at some point if I contracted COVID or if word got out, because it’s the NFL and there’s leaks everywhere, it was possible I’d have to answer the questions,” he said of his positive result. “And that’s when the s***storm hit, because now I’m a liar, I’m endangering the community, my teammates, all these people. And the attempted takedown of me and my word and my integrity began.”

Last month, the podcast host said he wouldn’t host former President Donald Trump, adding that he is uninterested in helping him.

“I am not a Trump supporter in any way, shape, or form,” he told listeners. “I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once. I’ve said no every time.”
