Kellyanne Conway declined on Friday to say whether she’d be named the new White House communications director after Hope Hicks’ departure.
“I’m here to support the president,” she said on Fox News when asked whether she might take on that role.
“I don’t have any personnel announcements at this time,” she added. “The president controls the timing, content and tone of all his personnel announcement.”
The White House been criticized for saying last week that the pending departure of national security adviser H.R. McMaster was “fake news,” only to announce Thursday that McMaster was on the way out.
Conway declined to comment on whether incoming national security adviser John Bolton’s moustache was a factor that made it more difficult for Trump to hire him, and said that is “way to glib” for her to answer.
