Meeks taking over National Trust for Historic Preservation

The National Trust for Historic Preservation will have its first woman president starting in July.

Stephanie Meeks will the be the eighth president of the Trust and is the former CEO of Counterpart International, a $110 million development organization in 25 countries. She also spent 18 years working at the Nature Conservancy, where she served as chief operating officer and later acting president and CEO.

The Trust, headquartered in D.C., is a non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing historic neighborhoods. Meeks will replace Richard Moe, who retired recently after 17 years at the Trust.
