Conservative media star Laura Ingraham is close to securing her own primetime spot at Fox News, according to a report.
While negotiations are reportedly still ongoing, Ingraham has told friends the deal is essentially done, per people who spoke to CNN on the condition of anonymity.
Ingraham is expected to take over the 10 p.m. hour from Sean Hannity, with “Hannity” moving to 9 p.m. and “The Five” shifting back to its original time slot of 5 p.m., the sources said.
A launch date is still unknown.
A spokeswoman for Fox News told Washington Examiner “there is no deal in place” between the cable news network and Ingraham.
The reported shuffle has been one of many changes experienced at Fox News since Bill O’Reilly’s abrupt departure in April amid allegations of sexual misconduct and the exodus of other talent like Megyn Kelly and Greta Van Susteren.
Ingraham — currently a Fox News contributor, radio show host and editor-in-chief of LifeZette — has been popular with the network’s audience. She has also drawn attention from President Trump, who tweeted in response to one of her appearances.
