Actress Jane Fonda won’t be going under the knife again after a decision many are lauding as brave.
“I can’t pretend that I’m not vain, but there isn’t going to be any more plastic surgery — I’m not going to cut myself up anymore,” Fonda, 82, told Elle Canada on Tuesday.
Fonda has been open about her previous plastic surgeries but said in the interview, she wants to “make it very clear that it has been a long and continuing struggle for me. I post pictures of me looking haggard — and once with my tooth out!”
Vulture came out in support of Fonda’s announcement, tweeting that the octogenarian actress is “bravely” swearing off the procedures.

The actress and liberal activist made another promise in November, swearing off buying any new clothing.
“You see this coat? I needed something red, and I went out and found this coat on sale. This is the last article of clothing that I will ever buy,” Fonda told a crowd at one of her “Fire Drill Fridays” events before being arrested for the climate change demonstration.
She made headlines following the Oscars for sticking to her word and recycling an awards dress.
