Seventy-six people are dead and five are injured after a plane carrying a Brazilian professional soccer team crashed in Colombia Monday night.
NBC reported the Brazilian soccer team Chapecoense was traveling on a charter plane from Bolivia to Medellin when the crash occurred about 10 p.m. in a mountainous region in eastern Colombia.
According to local authorities, six people were found alive following the crash but one of those people soon died after being found.
The report stated the plane may have experienced electrical problems, but the investigation is ongoing. A woman who worked as a flight attendant on the plane and survived the crash also apparently told authorities the plane ran out of fuel.
