Donald Trump’s convention manager Paul Manafort says Ted Cruz is using tactics similar to those of the Nazi police.
NBC’s Chuck Todd asked Manafort, “what is fair game to win a delegate? Is threatening a fair game?” The latter referred to tactics Roger Stone is using, including, “disclos[ing] the hotels and the room numbers of” delegates.
Manafort distanced himself and the Trump campaign from Stone, and said threats aren’t his nor Trump’s style. (Apparently he doesn’t count Trump threatening Heidi Cruz, Michelle Fields, Megyn Kelly, etc.)
He said threatening “is Ted Cruz’s style.”
“You go to these county conventions and you see the tactic—Gestapo tactics.”
He did not name any specific tactics, so it was unclear which of Cruz’s tactics were particularly Nazi-like.
