House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., will sit down for his first television interview with “60 Minutes,” to be aired on Sunday, more than three months after he was shot during practice for the Congressional Baseball Game in June.
CBS’ Norah O’Donnell made the announcement on Wednesday’s “CBS This Morning.” According to the host, Scalise, his wife Jennifer, and doctors involved in saving his life are interviewed for the segment.
According to a spokesman, Scalise has not set a specific date to return to Capitol Hill. The Louisiana Republican remains at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in intensive rehab where he has been re-learning how to walk.
