Ever the businessman, President-elect Donald Trump started the holiday shopping season by slashing the price of his iconic “make America great again” hats and other campaign gear as part of a Black Friday special for his supporters.
“President-elect Trump loves a great deal,” Trump’s team wrote in an email to fans. “Use Coupon Code: BLACKFRIDAY to get 30 percent OFF your favorite items at the Official Store for Trump Gear.”
Among the featured items is a 24-karat gold Christmas ornament shaped like the hats that bear Trump’s campaign slogan. The ornament is priced at $149, not including the Black Friday discount, and has received a mere 1.5-star rating on Amazon.
All sales made through Trump’s campaign website benefit his presidential campaign committee and the Republican National Committee.
Defeated Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton also discounted items on her campaign store for Black Friday.
