Suspect with name tattooed on neck charged with giving false identity to police

An Illinois man who has his name tattooed prominently on the front of his neck was charged with giving police a fake name.

While Matthew Bushman, 36, was being investigated as part of a forgery case, police say he made the bold move of insisting he was someone else, despite having the name “Matty B” tattooed in black ink across his throat. Bushman also allegedly gave police a fake date of birth.

He was arrested on Oct. 11 and charged with forgery and obstructing justice.

Police said that Bushman gave the fake information in an attempt to avoid an arrest warrant out of another county in Illinois.
