‘She’s smart as hell’: Ivana Trump says daughter Ivanka could ‘definitely’ be future president

President Trump’s ex-wife Ivana Trump said she thinks their daughter Ivanka could someday lead the United States.

During a Monday interview with British talk show Loose Women, Ivana, who was married to Trump from 1977 to 1992, said that Ivanka could run for the White House in the future.

“She’s in the White House every day. She’s next to her father every day,” Ivana Trump said. “I think she could be, one day, the first girl, or woman, president. Definitely.”

“She’s smart as hell. She’s beautiful. She’s au courant. And how much more can you have?” she added. Ivanka currently works as a White House adviser to her father, as does her husband, Jared Kushner.

During the interview, Ivana was asked if she ever thought about what her life would be like if she was still married to Trump. Ivana said that she doesn’t much like politics. Still, she said she would have done a “great job” at the White House but stressed she is happy with her life now.

“I’m in a stage of my life that I do what I want to do, I go wherever I want to go … and I can afford it, thank God,” she said. “So, I’m right to be free.”

She also said she was “very, very proud” watching her ex-husband get sworn into office.

“He was my husband of 15 years; I wish him all the best. I see that he can do a great job. He’s pro-everything which I believe in,” she said.

Ivana was more guarded in her response to questions about first lady Melania Trump.

“I’m not sure. She is very quiet, and she really doesn’t go to too many places,” Ivana said about the first lady’s job performance.

Ivana is also the mother of Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump. Trump’s daughter Tiffany is the only child from his second marriage to Marla Maples, and his son Barron Trump was born to Melania in 2006.
