The NoMa Business Improvement District is kicking off its search for a new executive director after Liz Price announced her plans to step down at the end of the summer. Price will be relocating to Frankfurt, Germany, with her children and husband, a German national, in September.

Price has been with the BID since it was founded in 2007, and since then NoMa has been the fastest-growing BID in the city.

“Liz has been the driving force behind this success,”said NoMa BID Board Chairman Bruce Baschuk, chairman of the

J Street Cos. “We are sad to see her go, but wish her all the best in her next adventure.”

In the last five years, private developers have invested more than $3 billion in the 35-block area covered by the NoMa BID, and have plans to develop more than 20 million square feet of office, residential, hotel, and retail space. In 2010, more than 6,000 people moved into NoMa to live or work; and eight new retailers opened for business.
