The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is unleashing a flood of advertising attacks on Republicans in contested districts as House Democrats scramble to defend their slim majority ahead of the midterm elections.
The DCCC is running new television spots in at least 10 House districts across the country, from New Hampshire to Georgia, Michigan to New Mexico, Virginia to California, Pennsylvania to Arizona, and points in between. Seven of the 10 have one thing in common: Incumbent Democrats vying to fend off aggressive Republican challenges in the face of political headwinds.

The ads, part of a previously publicized fall television reservation, were announced Tuesday, exactly five weeks before Election Day. The House Democrats receiving air cover from the DCCC in this latest blitz include:
- Rep. Sanford Bishop (D-GA)
- Rep. Sharice Davids (D-KS)
- Rep. Dan Kildee (D-MI)
- Rep. Elaine Luria (D-VA)
- Rep. Chris Pappas (D-NH)
- Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA)
- Rep. Greg Stanton (D-AZ)
The DCCC is playing defense in an additional seat, Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District. This is an open-seat race because Rep. Conor Lamb (D-PA), who ran for Senate, is retiring.
The House Democratic campaign is on the offensive in just two districts out of the 10 where the committee announced new ads Tuesday morning: California’s 13th Congressional District, which features no incumbent, and New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District, where Rep. Yvette Herrell (R-NM) is running for reelection.
Meanwhile, House Majority PAC, the super PAC aligned with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), revealed its own slate of new advertising, including spots running on television and digital platforms and reaching voters via direct mail targeting 16 districts across the country.

The incumbent Democrats receiving assistance from the House Majority PAC include Kildee, Stanton, and Pappas. Republicans lead the Democrats in generic ballot polling, 46.1% to 45.1%, according to the RealClearPolitics average.
