Trump reassures seniors on coronavirus medications in lighthearted video: ‘I want you to get the same care that I got’

President Trump released a video regarding the coronavirus to his “favorite people in the world”: Seniors.

“To my favorite people in the world, the seniors. I’m a senior! I know you don’t know that. Nobody knows that. Maybe you don’t have to tell them, but I’m a senior,” Trump, 74, joked.

“We are making tremendous progress with this horrible disease that was sent over by China.”

In the video posted Thursday, the president touted coronavirus medications he received after testing positive for COVID-19 last week.

“I was very sick. … And I took this medicine, and it was incredible,” he said.“I could have walked out the following day. Sooner.”

“We’re going to make them available, immediately,” Trump said, adding that the Food and Drug Administration is working on approval.

“I want you to get the same care that I got … You’re going to get it free, no charge. And we’re going to get it to you soon.”

“It’s totally safe,” he said, “But it’s powerful against this disease … We’re going to take care of our seniors, all free.”

Trump was released from the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Monday after spending the weekend there receiving coronavirus treatment.

He has repeatedly said that the medications he received helped him fight the virus, and he vowed to get the medications in the hands of the public.

“I feel great. I feel like, perfect,” the president said in an earlier video posted Wednesday. “I think this was a blessing from God that I caught it. This was a blessing in disguise. I caught it. I heard about this drug, I said, ‘Let me take it,’ it was my suggestion. I said, ‘Let me take it.’ And it was incredible the way it worked, incredible. And I think if I didn’t catch it, we’d be looking at that like a number of other drugs. But it really did a fantastic job. I want to get for you what I got. I’m going to make it free. You’re not going to pay for it.”
