After arriving in Japan on a private jet to promote her fashion and fragrance brands, Paris Hilton received a very chilly welcome — so chilly, in fact, that she had to turn around and head home.
Since the heiress had just been slapped with probation after pleading down felony cocaine charges to a misdemeanor, immigration officials first detained her in an airport hotel for questioning, then let her know she was not welcome in the country thanks to its policy against admitting people convicted of drug-related offenses.
“Paris is very disappointed and fought hard to keep her business commitments and see her fans, but she is forced to postpone her commitments in Asia,” a rep’s statement said. “Paris looks forward to returning in the future to a country she loves and has been coming to for the past 10 years.”
Buck up, Paris. At least you’re not in jail!
Justin’s Flame
It’s with great trepidation that we report the following item, for fear that it may cause a mass panic among America’s youth: Justin Bieber was seen making out with a girl. (We’ll pause here to give the tween girls out there a moment for wailing and gnashing of teeth.)
Yup, the “Baby” singer — who recently maintained that he doesn’t have a special girl in his life — was spotted in the back seat of a Honda canoodling with his tour’s opening act, singer Jasmine Villegas (who also starred in the “Baby” video). TMZ posted photo evidence of the smooch-fest in L.A.’s Venice area Sept. 9.
We’d advise Jasmine to protect herself from the Bieb’s rabid fans, ASAP. But, it’s going to be awfully hard to pursue her singing career once she’s holed up in an underground bunker.
Lindsay’s Obsession
Lindsay Lohan could be headed for jail, but the starlet is evidently more concerned about her social life than her legal mess. (Shocker!)
When she heard that ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson was headed to Cabo with Nicole Richie — at what’s said to be the bachelorette party for the socialite’s rumored wedding to Joel Madden — La Linds “went crazy” trying to figure out who accompanied her, Page Six reported.
The “Machete” star was said to be beside herself because she “couldn’t get permission to leave the country … and wasn’t invited.” (Once a friend, Nicole has publicly dissed Lindsay.)
Though the DJ and the actress ended their volatile relationship ages ago, Lindsay is said to still be hung up on her ex, and “kept trying to track down Sam.”
Lindsay, honey, we think you might have bigger things to worry about.
Odd godmother pick?
Well, this is random: Us magazine reported that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are best buds with Mindy Cohn of “Facts of Life” semi-fame — and even chose her to be godmother to two of their children!
“Mindy is good friends with them,” a source said. “They even gave her a huge diamond ring to thank her for being the godmother.”
Though which of the six kids supposedly call “Natalie” godmother isn’t confirmed, the tabloid said she was spotted wearing major bling a couple months after twins Knox and Vivienne were born in 2008.
Of all the improbable Brangelina rumors we’ve ever heard, this one is so out of left field that we can’t help but wonder if it’s true.
