BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a spinning amusement ride hit a worker in the head and killed him at a carnival in New York.

Suffolk County police and the worker’s employer say he went under the ride called the Scat on Saturday night to take care of something related to its music. Police say he stood up, and the ride hit him and knocked him to the ground.
