Conservative columnist George Will says he’s voting for Biden

Conservative columnist George Will announced that he will be voting for Joe Biden for president.

In a Monday interview with USA Today’s Susan Page, Will noted that November’s election would mark his first time voting for a Democrat for president.

When asked who he’d cast his vote for, he immediately replied, “Biden.”

“I’ve nothing against Democrats. But I’ve never had the opportunity to vote for one,” he added.

Will’s choice may not come as a huge surprise. In 2016, he announced that he would not be voting for Donald Trump and left the Republican Party. Instead, he wrote in Ben Sasse.

In an April 2016 column for the Washington Post, Will wrote, “If Trump is nominated, Republicans working to purge him and his manner from public life will reap the considerable satisfaction of preserving the identity of their 162-year-old party while working to see that they forgo only four years of the enjoyment of executive power.”
