Authorities said two people died early Sunday after a pair of fatal accidents in western Prince William County.
An adult male pedestrian died near Lee Highway and Old Carolina Road in Gainesville after a car traveling on Lee Highway struck him before 6 a.m. Sunday. Police said no one else was injured in the accident.
Less than an hour later, police said, an adult male lost control of his motorcycle on Bristow Road in Brentsville and ran into a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
