Police say a man found dead in a Northeast D.C. home this week died from blunt force trauma and are investigating his death as a homicide.
Police went to a home on the 3400 block of Minnesota Avenue NE at about noon Tuesday for a report of a foul odor. Officers found an adult man, identified as 49-year-old Thomas G. Lipscomb, dead in the home.
An autopsy was conducted and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has ruled the death a homicide due to blunt force trauma, police said.
