The Guardian’s Ben Jacobs’ old glasses will be donated to the Newseum, a week after he said they broke when Republican congressional candidate Greg Gianforte body slammed him.
Jacobs got a new pair of glasses from a Maryland ophthalmologist on Tuesday.

Gianforte was charged with misdemeanor assault and later won Thursday’s election to fill Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke’s open seat.
Jacob’s right eye was bruised and left arm injured as a result of the assault. His old glasses will be donated at the request of the museum, according to the Guardian.
