Trump to Megyn Kelly: ‘I wasn’t so fond of you at the time’

In their first sit-down interview since their feud ended, presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly that he wasn’t very “fond” of her after they clashed at the first Republican debate in August.

In a teaser for their interview set to air on May 17, Trump told Kelly that he was not pleased with her questioning at the debate, when she asked him about his multiple comments over the years about women. Kelly confronted him at the time, pointing out that he has referred to women as “fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals.”

“Let’s talk about us and the August 6, 2015 debate,” Kelly tells the presumptive GOP nominee.

“I wasn’t so fond of you at the time, I will tell you,” Trump said in response.

The promo calls the sit-down discussion “the interview we’ve waited for.” The interview will be part of Kelly’s special set to air in 11 days titled “Megyn Kelly Presents,” during which she conducts Barbara Walters-style interviews with subjects, such as Trump, actor Michael Douglas, Laverne Cox and Robert Shapiro, best known for his defense of O.J. Simpson during his murder trial in 1995.

The interview is set to air a month after Kelly met with Trump at Trump Tower, which she called to “clear the air” between the two. Throughout the feud, Trump referred to Kelly as “overrated,” a “bimbo” and “crazy.”
