Police are investigating a body that was set on fire Wednesday morning in a Woodbridge Dumpster.
Authorities were called to a fire in a trash bin at the Bayvue Apartments, located on the 1200 block of Bayside Avenue, shortly before 10 a.m., according to Prince William County police. Fire crews found the body in the Dumpster after extinguishing the blaze.
A medical examiner confirmed that the bin contained human remains.
The person’s age and gender have not been determined. The cause of death was not immediately known.
