Triple murder suspect confesses to killing neighbor and cooking heart

An Oklahoma man has confessed to killing his neighbor and cooking her heart to eat.

Triple murder suspect Lawrence Paul Anderson admitted on Tuesday to killing his neighbor, Andrea Lynn Blankenship, 41, and cutting out her heart to eat at home. He is also accused of killing his uncle, 67-year-old Leon Pye, and a 4-year-old girl on Feb. 9. Anderson is accused of stabbing his aunt, who survived, according to the Oklahoman.

“He cooked [Blankenship’s] heart with potatoes to feed to his family to release the demons,” an agent with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation told a judge in a request for a search warrant.

Anderson has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder, one count of assault with a deadly weapon, and one count of felony maiming. He is reportedly being held without bail.

ONE DEAD AND FIVE SHOT AFTER GUNFIRE ERUPTS IN MISSOURI AMERICAN LEGION

On Feb. 9, Chickasha police responded to a woman’s 911 call from 214 W Minnesota, where an officer forced his way into the home upon hearing a woman’s scream. Officers found Pye already dead and his granddaughter, Kaeos Yates, injured. According to the OSBI agent, Yates was pronounced dead in the ambulance on the scene. Anderson was arrested in the Pye home.

Blankenship’s death was discovered on Feb. 11 after the OSBI interviewed Anderson in an Oklahoma City hospital.

“He confessed to going to 227 West Minnesota Avenue, Chickasha,” the agent said. “He used his shoulder to knock in the back door. There were two German Shepherd dogs in the house. Anderson advised he killed the female resident and cut her heart out.”

The OSBI asked for permission to collect “pots, pans, and any utensils for cooking” from the Pye home as evidence in its search warrant request.

Anderson has previously been imprisoned three times. In 2006, he was sentenced to four years for attacking his girlfriend, pointing a gun at her, and possessing crack cocaine with the intent to distribute. He was released less than two years later. Anderson was sentenced to 15 years with 20 years of probation in 2012 for selling crack cocaine near an elementary school but was released in less than five years and four months. In 2017, he was arrested when caught carrying a handgun, which was illegal due to his past convictions.

A similar tragedy occurred in Oklahoma on Feb. 2, when a man was suspected of allegedly killing his 24-year-old brother and five children, three of whom were his own. Jarron Deajon Pridgeon, 25, has since been charged with six counts of first-degree murder.
