Faisal Shahzad, the recently naturalized US citizen born in Pakistan charged with the Times Square bombing, attended Southeastern University in Washington DC according to the Associated Press.
A New York Times report states that Shahzad attended the school in the spring of 1998, “earning D’s in English composition, B’s in Humanities and C’s in statistics.”
Shazad transferred from Southeastern University to the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut where he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer applications and information systems in 2000, according to the Associated Press. He returned to earn an MBA in 2005.
Shahzad, was born in Pakistan but became a naturalized U.S. citizen in April 2009.
He was arrested earlier this morning in connection with the failed Times Square bombing attempt in New York City.
