Democratic VP nominee Tim Kaine said he’s “sad to say that I’m not surprised” by newly released audio of Donald Trump talking about groping women and trying to seduce women to have sex with him.
When asked about the audio of the GOP nominee uncovered by the Washington Post on Friday, Kaine told reporters in Las Vegas that he was disgusted.
“It makes me sick to my stomach,” Kaine said about Trump’s statements about women in response to a question about the new audio of Trump. Kaine cited Trump’s previous pejorative comments about women and noted that he did not enjoy talking about it during this week’s vice presidential debate.
“This is behavior that’s just outrageous and so that there would be a new story that would have more statements like this of this kind, gosh I’m sad to say that I’m not surprised,” Kaine told reporters. “I should be surprised and shocked, I’m sad to say that I’m not.”
Kaine was campaigning in Nevada, where he was speaking in Spanish to Hispanic voters in Las Vegas.
