Three states announced they had found additional cases of “community spread” of the new coronavirus strain, a harrowing sign that the virus is already spreading in several parts of the United States.
California, Washington, and Oregon announced late Friday night that they have each found instances where patients did not travel outside of the U.S. or come in contact with anyone they knew who was infected. One of the people infected was a school-aged child in Washington, the state reported.
