The mother of Stormy Daniels, the adult film star who allegedly had an affair with President Trump, touted her steadfast support of Trump and said that she hopes the scandal involving her daughter doesn’t hurt his presidency.
“If Mr. Trump runs four more times, I would vote for him every time,” Sheila Gregory told the Dallas Morning News. “I like him. I like the way he handles things. It’s time this country is put back where it belongs — taking care of the people here instead of the people who don’t belong here.”
Gregory disapproves of her daughter’s career in porn, but said she still attempts to call her every few weeks, the Dallas Morning News reported. The mother and daughter, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, have been estranged for 12 years.
“I loved her dearly,” her mother said. “I still love her dearly.”
Daniels’ lawyer called Gregory’s alleged attempts to contact her daughter “fake news.”
Daniels, 38, is currently in a high-profile legal dispute over a nondisclosure agreement which prohibits her from speaking publicly about her alleged extramarital affair with Trump years ago.
The adult film star launched an online fundraiser this week to cover legal fees and other costs amounting from her attempt to void the nondisclosure agreement she made with Trump’s private lawyer.
