Hillary Clinton charged Wednesday that Donald Trump used illegal immigrant workers to build his new hotel that he formally opened in Washington, D.C., just minutes before Clinton spoke.
Speaking in Florida, Clinton said she had a message to anyone thinking of voting for Trump.
“I want you to tell them that he relied on undocumented workers to make his project cheaper,” she said. “And most of the products in the rooms were made overseas, and he even sued to get his taxes lowered.”
“But we know he’s used undocumented workers, and that’s one of the things, and that’s one of the things that he has run his campaign on, about deporting undocumented workers,” she added.
Trump presided over the opening of his hotel on Wednesday, a move that his critics said amounted to a promotion for his company using the press he has generated from his presidential run.
Trump and his family were met by protesters outside the hotel.
