Jimmy Fallon: Golden Globes one of few places where America honors popular vote

Comedian Jimmy Fallon kicked off the 74th Golden Globes knocking President-elect Trump’s victory.

“This is one of the few places left, where America still honors the popular vote,” Fallon quipped Sunday night.

Former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton won the popular by over 2.5 million votes, but Trump won the Electoral College vote, making him president.

Fallon didn’t stop there, comparing Trump to the evil King Joffrey in “Game of Thrones.”

“The show has so many plot twists and shocking moments,” he said. “A lot of people have wondered what it would have been like if King Joffrey had lived. Well, in 12 day we’re gonna find out.”

Fallon then mocked Trump over celebrities who have refused to perform at his inauguration.

“The film ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’ is nominated,” he said. “The character has been dubbed the world’s worst opera singer. And even she turned down performing at Donald Trump’s inauguration.”
