Pence’s motorcade hits DC reserve police officer

Vice President-elect Mike Pence’s motorcade hit and injured a D.C., reserve police officer on Wednesday afternoon, according to a report.

The officer was struck at 1:45 p.m. by a vehicle in the motorcade and was transported to a local hospital, the Secret Service told NBC-4. The officer has since been released.

The Secret Service is looking into the incident and whether the officer had been working at an intersection when the motorcade swept through.
