Matthew Tosiello was named Arlington Public Schools’ educator of the year.
The third-grade ESOL teacher is in his fourth year teaching at Randolph Elementary School. Prior to his days at the blackboard, Tosiello worked in marketing and public relations.
In addition to teaching, Tosiello works to increase student interest in science, technology and math through the Sally Rise Academy.
He will now contend for the title of Virginia Teacher of the year.
