Say My Name, Say My Name…

A GOP aide emails:

During his remarks this afternoon, President Obama seeking to stress bipartisanship, noted that his Administration was working “closely” with leaders in the House and Senate. Apparently not closely enough, since the President went off script and referred to Congressman Spencer Bachus – the Ranking Republican on the House Financial Services Committee – as “Sheldon.”

Indeed, as Obama said today: “We’ve worked closely with leaders in the Senate and the House, including not only Barney [Frank], but also Senators Chris Dodd and Richard Shelby and Barney is already working with his counterpart, Sheldon Bachus.”
