The Washington Examiner’s Gabe Kaminsky shed light Thursday on a recent complaint to the IRS over a George Soros-backed organization’s alleged failure to disclose its political lobbying, which may have been done on the taxpayers’ dime.
He told OAN’s Tipping Point that Alianza Americas, which Soros’s Open Society Foundations gave “about $1.4 million between 2016 and 2020,” wrote on its tax forms that it doesn’t engage in lobbying activities.

However, “on the same documents, this organization discloses that it has gone, spent time on Capitol Hill. In fact, it has briefed members of Congress,” Kaminsky explained.
“This is the organization that is suing Ron DeSantis over him flying illegal migrants to Martha’s Vineyard,” he noted.
“That would be in violation of IRS law,” Kaminsky said, so the National Legal and Policy Center issued a complaint to the IRS on Wednesday with the allegations.

“Alianza Americas — in addition, they have received roughly $8.5 million from the Department of Health and Human Services in grants for basically COVID-19 vaccination outreach in Chicago and Florida,” he added. “And this is what two members of Congress and Trump’s former HHS chief of staff wrote to the HHS. They said, ‘Well, is it possible that federal grants have been used for lobbying activities? Because if that’s the case, in addition, that would be in violation of federal law.'”
Kaminsky said the ideal next steps would be the IRS working to “probe this situation” adequately, as well as choosing to “take a look and see whether any federal grant money, taxpayer dollars, have been used for lobbying activities.”
