New America Rising ad boosts Gorsuch ahead of Senate vote

America Rising Squared is releasing a new ad boosting Judge Neil Gorsuch’s Supreme Court nomination ahead of next week’s Senate Judiciary Committee vote.

America Rising Squared is a group that is part of a larger coalition of conservative groups coordinating to help confirm Gorsuch. The ad, titled “Everybody Knows It,” highlights laudatory commentary from people of differing political perspectives on Gorsuch’s performance at last week’s confirmation hearings. It is targeted geographically at Capitol Hill and will run online and on social media.

“I think that this has been a slam dunk,” NBC commentator Andrea Mitchell is shown saying.

“If Neil Gorsuch isn’t good enough for you, there probably never will be anyone good enough for my Democratic colleagues,” Republican Texas Sen. John Cornyn says in a clip used in the ad.

The 75-second ad will run online and on social media ahead of Monday’s scheduled Judiciary Committee vote on Gorsuch’s confirmation as part of an effort to put pressure on fence-sitting senators who have not decided how they will vote.

“Judge Gorsuch is beyond qualified for the Supreme Court and the reaction to his hearing proves that he would be an independent voice on the bench who puts the law first,” said Jeremy Adler, America Rising Squared spokesman, in an email. “Democrats have no grounds to oppose his nomination and are only continuing with their obstruction efforts to appease their base of irrational left-wing activists.”
