This kind of thing really brings out my inner libertarian–Dallas cops raid poker night at the VFW.
The key quote comes about four minutes in:
“The priority of going after veterans of foreign wars playing cards on Friday night rather than to try and get to the root of the crime we’ve got here is pretty sad.”
I would think that this story would have provoked some kind of political backlash–but maybe Dallas City Hall really does hate the troops.
