Famed journalist Carl Bernstein said he thinks Trump is setting himself up for a “real neo-fascist” movement and multimedia empire.
“I think the most interesting thing going on right now is Trump saying that he may not go along with the results of this election,” said Bernstein on CNN Friday. “It means, I think, that he is setting himself up … as the head of a real neo-fascist and media empire with people from Breitbart.”
Bernstein said Trump’s businesses are “going into the tank” and and there is already “talk” about the Republican founding his own media service. Trump Facebook livestreamed a pre-debate show earlier this week that praised the candidate and lambasted the mainstream media.
“And is there going to be the remnants of a neo-fascist movement that he leads in this country after this election?” asked Bernstein. “It’s a dangerous thing, we’re in a dangerous time.”
