Trump calls his press pool ‘very honorable people’

President Trump is known for railing against what he calls the “fake news” and “dishonest” media but on Thursday offered words of praise for a group of journalists covering him at the White House.

During a meeting with Atlanta’s I-85 bridge fire first responders in the Roosevelt Room, Trump said of the press pool: “They’re very famous, it’s called the media. They’re very honorable people.”

Trump then added to the first responders: “But you are more honorable, I can tell you that.”
