Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has a warning for his main rival, Hillary Clinton. “Let me tell you a secret: we’re going to win New Hampshire,” Sanders reportedly told supporters, according to the Keene Sentinel.
Sanders was speaking front of up to 1,000 supporters. “The recreation center overflowed with people. Its parking lot was full, every seat was filled and the aisles were brimming with people standing. Crowd estimates varied from between 750 and 1,000, and those attending frequently chimed in with cheers and applause throughout the afternoon as Sanders spoke,” reports the local outlet.
“The crowd consisted of mostly Granite State residents of all ages, but all of them brought the same level of enthusiasm. The room erupted with cheers and applause as Sanders entered. Many people had their heads nodding and voiced their approval as he spoke.”
Sanders repeated his call for revolution. “You can have the best president in the history of the world but that person will not be able to address the problems that we face unless there is a mass movement, a political revolution in this country. … Right now, the only pieces of legislation that get to the floor of the House and Senate are sanctioned by big money, Wall Street, the pharmaceutical companies.”
“The only way we win and transform America is when millions of people stand up as you’re doing today and say, ‘Enough is enough. This country belongs to all of us and not a handful of billionaires,’” Sanders said.
