Tweets from last night’s commuting hell: How long was your drive home?

With everyone trying to leave Washington at once, drivers broadcast their frustration to Twitter as their trip home stretched out late into the night.

Most trips to nearby suburbs took drivers an average of 3-4 hours based on most tweets, but there were still many  people stuck for 6-8 hours as the snow fell heavily into snarled rush hour traffic.

Here are some of the tweets from last night’s snow commute:
