Mayor Gray booed at Nationals opening game

D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray was booed at the Washington Nationals opening game today, eliciting a spike of reaction on Twitter.

“Mayor Gray just got booed at Nats game,” tweeted Kyle Trygstad, a Roll Call staff writer.

Terence Samuel, the managing editor of National Journal also tweeted, “It’s on. Mayor Gray booed at Nats Park.”

The mayor attended the game today to announce the first ‘Play Ball’ of the season.

“The entire crowd at Nats Park just booed Vince Gray,” wrote user chriscolwell, “Did you all vote??”

“Mayor Vincent Gray loudly booed during “Play Ball”. Great choice there, start off the season with a hearty boo.” Dave Nichols of NatsNewsNetwork added.
