Conservative radio personality Rush Limbaugh was buried in St. Louis, Missouri, after a private ceremony.
The late radio host’s widow, Kathryn, said Limbaugh was buried last week after a private ceremony during a Tuesday broadcast of her husband’s show.
“Rush was buried last Wednesday in St. Louis, Missouri, at a wonderful cemetery called Bellefontaine,” she told guest host Todd Herman.

The widow added that the funeral was “worthy” of the late personality.
“From the moment that he left the house here in Palm Beach, there was a procession escorting Rush to the transport plane that would take him to St. Louis, and then when we arrived in St. Louis, there was a procession leading to the cemetery,” she continued.
The Tuesday broadcast aired a clip of the couple discussing Limbaugh’s funeral prior to his death, during which Rush said that Kathryn’s arrangements sounded “incredible,” jokingly adding, “Sorry I’m gonna miss it.”
Limbaugh, who was born in Missouri in 1951, died on Feb. 17 at the age of 70 after a battle with lung cancer.
The radio host’s death prompted an outpouring of tributes from listeners and friends, who hailed him as an “American hero,” as well as condemnation from liberal opponents, who celebrated the demise of the “bigoted king of talk radio.” President Donald Trump awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Feb. 4, 2020, calling him a “special man beloved by millions of Americans” and honored him during his speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference on Sunday, saying Limbaugh “is watching closely and smiling down on us.”
