2 dead after fatal dump truck crash

WASHINGTON (AP) — Authorities say two people are dead after a crash involving a dump truck in Washington.

The Saturday morning car wreck occurred when a passenger vehicle collided with a dump truck on northbound Interstate 95 at Pennsylvania Avenue. Police spokesman Paul Metcalf says that two adults died. One teenager and one adult are in stable condition.

Police say northbound lanes of Interstate 295 at Pennsylvania Avenue reopened around 5 p.m.

The crash is under investigation.
