ADELANTO, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a small private plane has crashed on a dry lake bed in the Mojave Desert, killing a veteran Los Angeles paramedic and critically injuring a boy flying with him.
The Los Angeles Fire Department says Brian Lee, a paramedic and helicopter pilot with more than 25 years’ experience, was off duty when the plane crashed around 11:15 a.m. Monday at El Mirage Dry Lake in San Bernardino County. He was 47.
