The Hillary Clinton campaign released a video on Monday morning highlighting how many prominent Republicans have rebuked Donald Trump’s comments about Judge Gonzalo Curiel.
“Even other Republicans are offended,” the video titled “The Briefing” says as it highlights comments from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Sen. Bob Corker and House Speaker Paul Ryan, among others.
Although all these members of the Republican Party have called on Trump to drop his claim that Curiel isn’t fit to preside over the Trump University case because of his Mexican ancestry, the presumptive GOP nominee continues to claim that he is being treated unfairly in the proceedings specifically because of the judge’s ethnic background.
The video is the latest in the Clinton campaign’s “#GOPDisunity” series, which emphasizes how far outside the mainstream of the Republican Party Trump is.
On Saturday night during a rally in Oxnard, Calif., Clinton slammed Trump, stating, “Judge Curiel is as much of an American as I am, and he’s as much of an American as Donald Trump is. But he has Mexican roots. So to Donald Trump, that means he can’t do his job. Well, Donald Trump’s not just wrong about Judge Curiel, he’s wrong about America. He’s wrong about what makes this country great.”
