Ex-CIA director says he ‘never’ saw evidence of UFOs being alien

Former CIA Director Leon Panetta said he not seen any evidence that UFOs are related to extraterrestrial beings.

During an interview Friday on MSNBC, he dampened hopes that the upcoming U.S. government report on UFO sightings will lead to a breakthrough in the public view of possible alien life.

“I’ve never seen any evidence that any of this is related to extraterrestrial human beings or beings of any kind,” Panetta said.

Instead, Panetta gave credence to the belief that the UFOs seen in recently released footage from U.S. military aircraft could be sophisticated drones or weaponry built by China or Russia. He further speculates that these objects were so close to U.S. aircraft and military bases because they were part of an intelligence-gathering operation.

UFO INTELLIGENCE CAN’T RULE OUT ALIENS OR FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS: REPORT

UFOs have exploded in prominence after several high-profile stories recently released footage of sightings by U.S. Navy pilots, along with the news the government will release a report on these sightings to Congress in June.

The objects spotted in the videos astonished scientists and the military alike, moving in ways that seemed to defy the laws of physics. Some objects reportedly had no visible engine or infrared exhaust plumes yet could reach 30,000 feet, submerge, and move at hypersonic speeds.

Administration officials told the New York Times that the report, which will contain a classified annex, concluded some of the sightings could have been experimental technology from a rival power. But in the majority of more than 120 examined cases, intelligence officials are simply unable to explain the unusual movements and properties of the objects.

Intelligence officials have ruled out the possibility the majority of the objects originated from secret U.S. programs and have no evidence any of these objects are alien in nature. However, sources say they cannot rule out the prospect.
