‘Not who the voters like’: Meghan McCain slams media for ‘elevating socialism’

The View host Meghan McCain ripped the media during Super Tuesday primary results for promoting socialists in the lead up to the election.

“It’s incredible how little the media has learned since 2016,” the conservative commentator said Tuesday on Twitter. “Never leaving their bubbles. Covering who they want and who THEY like, not who the voters like. All the while putting the squad and elevating socialism on every cover of every magazine, documentaries.”

“America ain’t gonna truck with socialism. Not now, not ever,” McCain said in another tweet.

The comments come as Joe Biden performed well in Super Tuesday states after Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg endorsed him after dropping out of the race.

McCain’s tweets were directed at Sen. Bernie Sanders and Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar, both of whom appeared on several magazine covers.

The conservative commentator has been critical of Sanders and his supporters, whom she has called thugs.

“I stand by the fact that it’s going to be a cage match. This is his Alamo,” McCain said about Sanders on The View ahead of Super Tuesday. “This is his absolute last chance to become president. Him and his supporters are the dirtiest thugs I have ever seen on all of social media.”

“The argument between the AOCs of the party and the more traditional Democrats, I think it’s going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better,” she added.
