Well, perhaps Napolitano was told that if she’d like her direct deposit system to keep working she better come up with a better answer than the system worked because a Nigerian al Qaeda wasn’t able to fully detonate the bomb sewn into his underwear even after he’d been put on various terror watch lists and spurred Nigeria’s former economics minister (and his own father) to warn the embassy that he posed a very real terrrorist threat. Today Napolitano tried again:
Napolitano basically went on TV yesterday, looked straight into the cameras, and declared, ‘heckuva job, Janet.’ But at least we know that no matter what happens, the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security’s number one priority will be to spin it and attempt to obscure their obvious incompetence with transparent lies — because this is the most transparent administration in history.
