2 Palestinian deaths reported on second day of violent protests in Gaza

Two Palestinians were reportedly killed on Tuesday in the second day of violent protests at the Gaza border.

According to health officials in Gaza, the protesters were shot dead by Israeli forces’ gunfire at the Gaza border, where Palestinians were massing to protest the U.S. decision to move its embassy to Jerusalem, the Associated Press reported.

On Monday evening, the death toll of Palestinian protesters rose to 58 and over 2,500 were injured in a single day.

Most deaths were a result of Israeli sniper fire at those violently protesting and rushing the border.

The Trump administration maintains that Israel is not responsible for the deaths, and that Hamas is for exploiting the celebrations in Jerusalem as a time to wage further conflict in the region.
