Sen. Tim Scott’s Wikipedia page hit with racist edits

The Wikipedia page of Sen. Tim Scott, the only black Republican senator, was hit with racist edits on Tuesday.

“Hitting me where it hurts…my wikipedia page,” Scott, R-S.C., tweeted in response to a user who pointed the comments out.

ScottBanks, the username of the person who made the racist edits to the Wikipedia page, has now been blocked indefinitely on Wikipedia, the Post and Courier reported.

This is not the first time this year Scott has responded to racist Internet comments.

In January, Scott had a one-word response to a racist tweet.

Scott is the first African-American to represent South Carolina in the Senate since Reconstruction.
